In 1989 Shaklee was purchased by Japanese Pharmaceutical giant Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. The company was sold again to Roger Barnett and his family in May 2004.
Shaklee’s US business reportedly had sales of Y30,659 million ($278.56m)
in 2003 and and an operating profit of Y2860 million ($26m).
