Over the past 30 years, I have been involved in many MLM companies. Amway, Primerica , Quarum, and others just to name a few. About 9 months ago I started my own Pre-Paid Legal business and have been very happy with the results thus far. I will tell you I believe the big difference in my success THIS TIME is because I did NOT make an emotional decision when looking at MLM’s.

You need to take a look at a couple things. First, the product or service! Is there a need (a real need) or is it just another avenue or channel for distribution of what is already available in the market place. Secondly, take a close look at the compensation and make sure it MOSTLY based on the sale of a product or service. When I say “SALE” I mean selling to customers, and not to yourself. Don’t be fooled on the old saying “Buy from your own business”. Those type of companies depend on recruiting as their major source of revenue, and commissions will be VERY LOW unless you build a very large team.

Dont get me wrong, MLM is all about building a team and growing your business using leverage, that’s not new. But if you sell a product or services, the commissions should be substantial regardless if you build a team or not.

MLM is a great way to financial freedom and stability, just choose wisely.
