NeriumADLaunch Date: 8/29/2011

Key Product: NeriumAD, new and advanced, patent-pending and clinically proven anti-aging skin care product with clinically proven results.

During advanced research on the uses of the Nerium oleander plant, an accidental discovery was made: the unique properties of Nerium oleander provided remarkable age-defying results when applied to the skin. This finding led to the creation of the NeriumAD skincare line.

Nerium scientists developed a breakthrough process, NBio-PL2, to extract from the Nerium oleander plant in a way that preserves its unique and beneficial properties. This patent-pending extraction process yields the NAE-8 extract used to formulate this first-of-its-kind age-defying product line.

“We had a eureka moment in our research labs when we stumbled upon what Nerium oleander could do for skin.”

Jeremy May 10, 2015 at 10:34 pm Thumb up 1 Thumb down 1

I’ve just signed up as a new brand partner for Nerium, had some success in other companies, and initially liked what I saw here. After giving out several samples, which they highly encourage you to do, I kept getting, “thanks for the sample, I’m just going to buy it on Amazon. It’s cheaper, and I don’t have to worry about autoship, I can just order as needed.” I looked on Amazon, and noticed that bottles are being sold for approximately $60 and fulfilled by Amazon so they’re eligible for free Prime shipping! The cost to buy from Nerium via a brand partner is $80/month (if you agree to autoship, otherwise $110) plus ~20 dollars in shipping and tax…so it’s $100 bucks a month whether you need it or not. If I had known, I would have bought my product on Amazon too and saved $40 and the hassle of dealing with Nerium’s very substandard customer service…ordering as I needed it.

Brand partner’s are supposed to use their free bottles to give as samples to introduce people to the product and hopefully make them a buyer. The problem is, when you give someone a high ticket item for free, they see the opportunity to make quicker, and better money selling it on Amazon for a lot more profit…not everyone follows the rules of network marketing unfortunately, and only care about themselves vs. the organization. If Nerium lets this sort of behavior continue, the bottom will fall out of this MLM very quickly…it’s already cost me about six potential customers. Heck, I don’t blame ’em!

I would hesitate to join or recommend this company to anyone just yet…and I don’t make any money saying that! I am pausing my efforts for the time being…

The problem you describe, Jeremy, is a common one experienced by companies and their distributors throughout the industry. It is very difficult, if not impossible, for companies to keep their products off eBay, Amazon, and other sites and sold for lower prices. It is indeed one of the realities that undermines confidence in the business model for many would be participants.

Cyndi June 23, 2015 at 3:40 pm Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

I have had a customer that bought the product on amazon, but what they got was not NeriumAD, I educate my customers and BP’s on what is out there and why they should only buy from a partner. In other words, you get what you pay for. and there are no guarantees. Sorry that you have decided to not be involved with the company. I agree with lou that there are so many ways to sell things that scammers or people that don’t want to follow the rules for the benefit of all, can get empty bottles and sell anywhere.

I started using Nerium over 6 months ago and love the product. My problem is with the automatic delivery. I now have a couple bottles of the product and would like to stop the automatic delivery. I have gone online to the Nerium website and filled out their online contact form. It states that you will be contacted within 24 hours. I have filled the form out 4 time over the past 3 weeks and never heard any response. I’ve tried calling, but only to hear that there are 60 people ahead of me. I have hung up after waiting 40 to 60 minutes without ever talking to anyone.
In short, great product but customer service does not exist.

Cyndi June 23, 2015 at 3:41 pm Thumb up 1 Thumb down 1

talk to the partner that signed you up. It is easy to cancel or we have a new option of doing every other month.

I was offered the following incentive from a former co-worker whose been doing well in Nerium for 2 years:
By signing with her she promised to place me into a group of about 60 people with a monthly volume of + or – 20,000 GQV. She says that with minimal effort I would be set up for major success? Can you please explain if there is any down side to this or other pitfalls that I may not know about???

Dear Becky,
My name is Deborah Castillo, I just joined Nerium 2 weeks ago and have been very satisfied with the company. I too struggled to get the enrollment fees together. It is actually a great deal because you get product at a great price plus all the tools to get you started..shoot me an email and I might be able to help you get started.

‘This week, I will only drink one beer on Friday night, saving myself thousands of calories’.
This isn’t the only reason that we know Vi – Salus isn’t a scam; the
product is real, and it’s backed by real research in nutrition too.
You must know what to choose in obtaining your goals.

When I was given this product to sample I was skeptical. But now I love this product, I couldn’t wait to return the bottle and place my order. After only 1 week of using this night cream and my lines are less noticeable in photos I took myself. I can’t wait until my first bottle arrives. What do i have to loose; wrinkles, the company offers a 30 day money back guarantee.
i would recommend this product and especially the person that allowed me to sample nerium ad……Thanks to

Good luck trying to get a refund when this product doesn’t work! Still waiting and tired of the no response or run around!

Who are you? Cheri Who?

jim April 29, 2015 at 9:07 am Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

You ask/reply almost 2 yrs later!!! That’s the no response run around !!!

Heidi July 7, 2015 at 2:57 pm Thumb up 1 Thumb down 0

I agree Cheri with you on there refund policy. I have products that I did not even order and not used and they will not refund me. The company needs to change their policy. I caution anybody who buys this product they put you on auto shipment without telling you and then will not refund you for the products shipped.

I am new to Nerium, and was wondering if I can use the product safely on my upper and lower eyelids. I know a lot of skin care products can NOT be used in these areas. Please let me know. Currently I AM using it in these areas.

Stephanie June 10, 2013 at 2:32 pm Thumb up 2 Thumb down 0

I have used NeriumAD on my whole face, including eyelids, for 2 months and have had no adverse reactions.

Destiny February 9, 2015 at 1:32 am Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Actually when you read the directions it says “Do not use near eyes” and if swallowed contact a doctor immediately! So any Brand Partner will say YES absolutely it works on your eyes but remember to read the fine specifically says do not use near your eyes which leads me to how all their before and after pictures show results of eyes when the product specifically states not to use near eyes..hmmmm just a thought anyhow

jim July 18, 2013 at 12:42 am Thumb up 0 Thumb down 1

Keep it away from the eye balls there is a warning on the box I would do as the company suggests and keep it away from them
I do not think it will cause any blindness but why risk that ?

Phil Martello January 12, 2013 at 5:43 pm Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Hi Lou….Ok now I have found at least one of the mlm that you promote. Nerium ?
Great looking site with so much great information….Obvious their will be more products.
You are not concerned about the Price/Value? Do you feel that the trend will overcome the price? The 3 for free is helpful. Does the product have an odor and have you used product yourself?
On your mlmwhole truth site the advertisement for Nerium did not take me to YOU but another Nerium sponsor..Why? Do you have a rotation set up with your down-line?
Lou, I am still in Ecuador .Can Nerium get products to ecuador?

louabbott January 12, 2013 at 9:19 pm Thumb up 2 Thumb down 0

No. Nerium can only ship within the USA at this time.
I received your emails and will respond more to your other questions there.

Do you have the total numbers of distributors of Nerium?

louabbott December 28, 2012 at 11:00 am Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

I do not. Anyone else?

Brian - Nerium BP July 12, 2013 at 6:15 pm Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Last number I saw published was 52,000… still very few when compared to companies like Mary Kay or Avon

jim July 18, 2013 at 12:45 am Thumb up 0 Thumb down 1

The average is about 73 a day joining so the number increases daily or about 2100 added per month. I was at the first Get Real in San Diego 2012 there were only about 3000 Brand Partners there then, NOW in Texas there is about 10,000 there today
3900 % growth first 12 months

Marge November 27, 2012 at 11:06 am Thumb up 1 Thumb down 0

Is it true with the comp plan that you are competing with your downline by
trying to stay ahead of them in rank and if just one is the same rank as you,
all of your differentials, etc, go to your upline? That could be very discouraging.
You have to be at least a Senior Brand Partner before you can earn differentials,
etc. I think if you invest 500 up front to become a Brand Partner, you should be
entitled to make money on everything to get into profit mode and qucikly duplicate.

Steve November 8, 2012 at 5:56 pm Thumb up 1 Thumb down 0

I’m interested in learning more about becoming a direct seller and am researching a few companies. I have just a few questions, who could I talk to? I am concerned with the cost of signing up. I have gotten some information from your website but I want mostly to check on extra costs.

1. Do I hold inventory that I sell at retail directly to customers or do you ship the inventory on an order by order basis? Do you ship the order to me or to the customer?
2. To accept credit and debit cards as payment- do I process those on an account I set up for myself or on your merchant account?
3. Who handles customer refunds and things like that?
4. Do you provide a website where customers can make online purchases or do I create my own website?
5. How do you send me my commissions and bonuses—by check, direct deposit, what? How frequently are they paid?
6. Am I required to purchase a certain amount of product each month via a monthly autoship to remain active with you?
7. How long have you been in business?
8. Roughly how many other independent consultants or distributors are there in the US?
Thank you

# 1 The only inventory you have is the starter kit and 5 or 12 bottles to start with
The bottles are lent out to prospective customers or business people who might want to be brand partners I hold on to no bottles they are out in the field working for me.
People order after 5 days from your web page so the product is shipped directly from Texas on an order by order basis.
# 2 They pay Nerium unless you are retailing a bottle for $110.00 which I do not do
I would rather they order from the web page so I get a free replacement bottle and they save $30.00 plus the 3 u r free is only in effect for Preferred Customers
# 3 home office
# 4 YES provided it is a great web page o.e.
# 5 good question how we get paid is every Weds. they load up my Paylutions Master Card for all the PC’S and BP’S I enrolled the week before, then ever 15th of the month the bonuses are paid too. So 5 times a month is pay day. You can transfer $$$$$ to your bank account if you so desire I leave mine on the card and spend it as needed
# 6 YES one bottle or 80 PV however if you have 3 PC’S then you qualify for the 3 U R Free and even though you are getting your Auto Delivery FREE they still PAY YOU !!! I know that is a real game changer FREE and you still get PAID !!!
# 7 08 29 2011 BUT there is over 150 years of experience in the Management team led by Jeff Olson so not really a start up per se
BTW 100,000,000 in delivered product in 1st 12 months one product one country with less than 52,000 BP’S
# 8 Adding about an average of 2100 a month now coming up on 2 years next
Let me know if I can assist you in getting started
Gold International Marketing Director in 24 months equals 2 million a year income
I will have 10 by 2015

Shirley January 22, 2015 at 1:19 pm Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Have you gotten your questions answered? If I can assist, please call me at (702) 327-2177. I am in Las Vegas and I have brand partners all over the U.S. right now!

Becky Powers February 3, 2015 at 9:14 pm Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

I am really interested in joining the team but I do not have the financial means to do this. Is there anyway someone can help me get started? I am married and we have 5 children, my husband is in school full time and I am the sole provider for the family. I have worked as a Medical Assistant for the past 13 years. I was given a free product of the night cream about 6 months ago and fell in love. I have been trying ever since to join as a brand partner, my parents won’t support me with this decision and I can’t save a dime to save my life. I am reaching out for this because this is what my heart desires….I want the life to be able to be my own boss, stay home with my children, travel, and take a vacation. Please help me.

Maxine Allen February 11, 2015 at 4:43 pm Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Hi Becky,

I just signed up as a brand partner – I waited til I got my tax return as I also have four kids of my own and work full time. Sense you are working, I would suggest using your return money to help finance your future! You will make your money back in no time.

Lou, if I join the Nerium family, will you be supportive, on a continual basis? Often, I join marketing opportunities, and have to rely solely on training for support. Or, I have to submit a ticket to the support team, and wait for days for a response. If I am unsure about anything, or what steps to take, could I have coaching time from you, or someone else, on a personal basis?

louabbott October 26, 2012 at 7:47 pm Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

I have found it very helpful, almost critical to have a good sponsor and upline.

Nerium has an awesome training call schedule, videos, and a responsive support system.

But also, I am committed to help anyone on our team no matter who sponsors them, to unlimited depth.

May I ask, how did you find us? May I suggest, let schedule a time to talk. I would like to learn more about you.

Mindy Peterson September 10, 2012 at 8:00 pm Thumb up 7 Thumb down 1

If MLM’s are so wonderful, why do the “big wigs” such as yourself continue to change companies over and over, and use your “success story” leverage? Why would you need to start a new company if you already “made it?” I am amazed at the amount of intelligent people who sign up based on “testimonies” and the lure of getting rich… and “working from home.” Where are the schedule C’s…proof of the big profits? Statistics say only 2% truly make it, and the other 98%? Broken dreams, and disappointment after idolizing their “uplines” like they are “Gods”….sad.

As a former “heavy hitter” making a six figure income, winning cars and exotic trips, I urge you to do your homework, and look at the financials before jumping in. I “made it to the top” and it was filled with subtle manipulation, greed, and using people’s “dreams” to bring them in. This is a business that can hurt friendships, marriages, and be “all consuming”…no plugs from me today, just an honest concern for mankind. Do you want to get rich quick? Count your blessings.

louabbott September 11, 2012 at 9:51 am Thumb up 4 Thumb down 4

Hello Mindy,

Thanks for visiting and sharing your experience. You seem to be a person with a good conscience. I have met lots of good people over the years that are frustrated by similar concerns about what they have seen in the industry.

It’s pretty clear from your comments, however, that you have not read my writings or Special Report/book. I sure don’t believe that all MLMs are “so wonderful.” In fact, it is rare that I find a company that will even come close to meeting my “12 Critical Success Factor.”

As to why people may change companies even after they have “made it,” the answer is easy. It is for as many reasons as people change their employers or change firms within their profession. Things change. Companies change. Technology changes. People change. Sometimes it’s time to move on.

May I suggest to you also, all companies, owners, “big wigs,” methods of doing business, etc. are not the same. You are generalizing from your own experience, of course. We all do. It’s all we can do. Even within one company I have seen some leaders being far less than honorable in their marketing and dealings with others.

But I have also seen network marketing done very, very well. That is what I strive to do. It is what the owners of Nerium strive to do too. It is the reason I, and so many other people with very high standards work with them.

I am curious as to what company(ies) you worked with?

dan August 26, 2012 at 9:30 am Thumb up 1 Thumb down 0

Just doing my due diligence here Lou. The coincidence of that letter being dated the
same day as DannyG comments (August 13, 2012) and one day prior to your reply is
puzzling. Can you clarify this at all?

louabbott August 26, 2012 at 12:26 pm Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Hi Dan –

I am not sure what needs clarifying, but I will take a guess as to what you may be asking about.

I have no idea if the timing was coincidental or not. When I found the letter on Nerium’s Facebook page, I was curious about the same thing.

I would not be surprised if the DannyG comments have come up elsewhere and prior to them being posted at my site. I would not be surprised or alarmed in any way if the letter was written as a response to such negative attacks. In fact, I would be worried if the company did not respond to such.

But to answer your question, I have no other knowledge about the bogus DannyG comments. I don’t if the company has even seen or heard such comments. I don’t know if the letter was written to answer concerns raised by the DannyG comments. I don’t know if any of that even matters.

I am pretty sure that it would not be posted if Nerium International weren’t doing so well.

dan August 26, 2012 at 11:30 pm Thumb up 1 Thumb down 0

I think I get the picture. Thanks for the professional answer.

louabbott August 14, 2012 at 3:49 pm Thumb up 2 Thumb down 0

Interesting comment from “Danny G” and a good question raise, sort of, if the motivations for the comment weren’t clouded in anonymity. Why would the real commenter lie about who he/she is?

The email address used was – a made up email address. Danny Gasemy is a real person, in fact a strong leader in Nerium International. It is highly unlikely that Danny posted this comment that seems to imply that Nerium Biotech might be in financial trouble (and therefore, Nerium International may be at risk?).

This link, while also clearing up misconceptions about why Nerium Biotech even exists, also gives a much better picture about how well Nerium Biotech is doing because of Nerium International:

Darryl January 18, 2013 at 1:44 pm Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

We pay Nerium Biotech 30% of our profits at Nerium International. It was announced in October 2012 that our 30% was FULLY funding Nerium Biotech.

Sue July 15, 2012 at 2:51 am Thumb up 2 Thumb down 1

I have been a distributor for a number of network marketing companies. One of the weak points of many companies is not having really great tools to promote the product. This one has a polished web presence and excellent print materials that are offered at reasonable prices. Better yet the materials are loaded with amazing before and after pictures from both clinical trials and happy customers. Another great point is the combination of the 30 day money back guarantee on Nerium and the 3Ur Free program which take the fear out of trying it and overcomes price objections. The product is easy to share and nothing beats free. The comp plan seems brilliant to me. I love the idea of rewarding early with tangible bonuses. I like what I see in Nerium International. What could be simpler to represent: one great product that really works (with a few more adaptations in the pipeline). I have to admit I was an easy sell on this one. I just couldn’t come up with any significant objections and saw a lot of big pluses in favor of getting in, so I did!

Darryl January 18, 2013 at 1:51 pm Thumb up 0 Thumb down 1

Well said Sue… is truly amazing what we have our hands on…….I challenge anyone to try and puncture a hole is this business or opportunity…….you can’t do it…..every customer can get free product and brand partners get free inventory!

A product has to really work to be able to offer that off the charts paradigm shift in any industry…….Jeff Olson is the master of this industry…..hats off to Jeff!!!!

Dawn July 2, 2012 at 2:57 pm Thumb up 1 Thumb down 0

I am only a user of the product. I am still in my.. Lets see if this works stage. I have issues with past promised creams that promise the world and deliver nothing. So today. One of my co-workers who can’t wait to see how this product works took pictures of me today and we put inserted them along side the before pictures. I can say I see a difference. Still waiting though. I am on day four. Tonight will be day five. I am still a skeptic, so seeing is beling to me. If this product does what it says it does, then I will recomend it to all my friends. Will I sell the product. No, I work full time, go to law school full time and a mother full time. I am an author when I have time so therefore, I have no spare time.
I wish all of you the best of luck with this. I would however like to see it become a better price and maybe add a little something to make it smell better.

karen July 2, 2012 at 12:27 am Thumb up 4 Thumb down 0

My concern is that oleander is one of the most toxic plants on earth. How is it that this is going into my body and not harming it?

louabbott July 2, 2012 at 7:12 am Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

It’s a good question, Karen. Of course, the Nerium Biotech scientists know exactly which compound is toxic in the plant and in what quantities.

They are extremely well-credentialed scientists headed by Dr. Robert A. Newman, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus, Professor of Experimental Therapeutics, Founder and Co-Director of the Pharmaceutical Development Center at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

Let me suggest reading about his matter at Nerium Biotech’s site:

Then, Nerium Skincare did safety and efficacy studies to actually measure whether any of those compounds were “going into” anyone’s body.

You can read about the safety and clinical testing here:

I think you will see why 10’s of thousands of Nerium’s customers are so happy!

NeriumAD is absolutely safe.

amadsen July 7, 2012 at 10:45 pm Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

I had the same concern. I know you are not supposed to rely on Wikipedia as accredited information, but I have consistently found that oleander when applied topically does not get absorbed into the blood stream. I would advise not to apply too closely to the oral region. It also seems like you would have to ingest a lot of oleander leaves in order to see any kind of toxic effects.
Here is the site:

Darryl January 18, 2013 at 1:38 pm Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Hi…..the toxic plant is the yellow oleander plant …..our extract is from the nerium oleander and is totally safe… doesn’t even absorb into the bloodstream….

I couldn’t find anything about the money-back guarantee on the Nerium Website. Where can I find it? I have tried so many products that don’t work, so a guarantee is important to me.

I found it, Chelsea … right under my nose …

The link is on the bottom of the home page (of each Brand Partner’s site) called “Returns and Cancellations”, below the “Become a Brand Partner” image, It opens up a pdf document that advises of the 30 day guarantee.

Lou, in your opinion what would a realistic average first year income be for a new distributor?

louabbott June 8, 2012 at 12:23 pm Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Thanks for the question, Kevin.

As the “MLM whole truth” guy, let me answer bluntly . . .

You absolutely don’t want to be “average” in any network marketing business. You will end up with the “average” income.
The average person does very little (or nothing), then quits after contacting way too few people to build either a customer business or a team.

I like to say that there is good news and bad news in Network Marketing:
The bad news is that finding good people who really duplicate and produce are hard to find.
The good news is . . . you don’t need very many of them to begin to enjoy the idea of leveraged residual income.

If you don’t consider that you will put in average effort, or if in any case, you would love to have our product, then I believe Nerium would be your best choice in the industry.

Too blunt?

what about black skin? Does this work for people of color?

Sandra June 23, 2013 at 10:34 am Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Many of my friends and co-workers are black, and/or every other nationality. I have seen positive improvements on all skin types. I have witnessed amazing results (most are convinced of what we have during the 7 days free trial)

You’ve long been an intellectual mentor to me. Your book has been invaluable in evaluating opportunities because it gives a road map or checklist of things to consider, which is helpful when a friend is enthusiastically trying to recruit you. Lou, thanks not only for writing the book, and your Whole Truth website, but for making me aware of Nerium. It checks out and I find it to be everything you claim – a real gem.

Danny White April 16, 2012 at 1:04 pm Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

I am financially aware of Phoenix and Nerium. I have a 14 yr. old Grandaughter and would like to order product for her complexion problem, typical for a teenager . How do I find a sales rep? Thanks, DW

louabbott April 16, 2012 at 1:12 pm Thumb up 0 Thumb down 1

This link will take you directly to my order page:

Lou, thanks for quick reply. Will our product work for my Grandaughter’s teenage skin problem’s, not acne serious, blemishes and pimple are more her condition. If viable for us , I would prefer to order by phone, Thanks Danny

louabbott April 16, 2012 at 2:16 pm Thumb up 1 Thumb down 0

Hi Danny. I can’t say if it will help her or not. Everyone’s skin is different. We do have one customer who has submitted before and after pictures and swears by it.

But the product does carry a 30 day satisfaction guarantee.
Here’s the support phone number if you prefer to order by phone:

I am also a distributor; I got into it after doing a one week trial. The results after just one week were enough for me to know this product will be huge. Thank you for keeping the public informed on the best out there with your reviews, I find them informative.

Just Curious March 16, 2012 at 11:36 pm Thumb up 2 Thumb down 0

Am I understanding correctly Lou, you are a distributor or equity partner w/ Nerium International ?

I want to see Jeff Olson’s before and after pictures!!!

Destiny February 9, 2015 at 1:50 am Thumb up 1 Thumb down 0

Funny you asked this because when I was first approached with Nerium I had a very open mind…in fact the Brand Partner who was telling me how amazing it was and said she had been using it for the past year or so…I wanted to see her before and after pictures, after all, she had been using it for at least 1 year, that would have shown some pretty amazing results right? No Such luck.. Heck I I have recently heard Nerium is going to have a cure for Alzheimer, HIV and other diseases at least that is what a Brand Partner told me just the other day..and nope I don’t use the stuff however I did try it gave me a rash, but everyone’s skin is different

Steve October 14, 2011 at 7:43 am Thumb up 4 Thumb down 2

No, Jeff Olson is spelled correctly! I think this company’s going to get big fast. Now’s the time to join!

R. Bailey August 31, 2011 at 9:30 pm Thumb up 0 Thumb down 6

Ummm… Might want to correct the CEO’s name. His name is Jeff Olsen.

louabbott September 1, 2011 at 5:05 am Thumb up 3 Thumb down 1

I always appreciate when people point out errors so I can get them corrected.

However in this case, my spelling is the same as what’s at the Nerium site. I would hope they know the correct spelling:

Ray June 12, 2012 at 2:46 pm Thumb up 1 Thumb down 0

Actually, his name is Jeffrey OLSON>
