Nature’s Pearl Facts, News, Reviews and Comp plan

by louabbott on June 4, 2013

Nature’s Pearl is owned by founder/CEO Jerry Smith, who is a pioneer in the bottled water industry, founding Le Bleu bottled water, a company he started in 1990.  Nature’s Pearl has a Better Business Bureau ‘A+’ rating and has been a “BBB Accredited Business since June, 2006.”  The company has been in business for 7 years, but for the first few years the product was sold in drug & health food stores (GNC, Walgreens, Eckerd), and then the next few years Jerry went direct but didn’t have people with direct sales experience to get it started right.

In the last 18 months, he hired a master distributor (Joe Land, former Amway Diamond and top rep with Univera and Qivana, who recruited me), brought in consultants to dramatically overhaul the compensation plan in the middle of 2012, and most importantly, had two clinical studies on the product generate a tremendous amount of positive press for the company.  The third clinical on it began in 2012, and results from that will be released in 2014. –John Cini, Director Nature’s Pearl

The clinical studies on the product are what set Nature’s Pearl apart from all other supplements on the market.  Because of FDA regulations, I can’t even say what the results of the clinicals were, but you can read them yourself at http://www.MuscadineHealthResearch.com, where there’s a lot more conclusive research info, including these two quotes on the antioxidant power of the main ingredient in our supplement:

  • “Brunswick Biomedical Laboratories of Wareham, Massachusetts stated in 2003 that Muscadine Grape Seed has the highest ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbing Capacity) of any natural substance they have yet to test.”

  • “The muscadine grape possesses one of the highest antioxidant levels among fruits; yet, the effect of this fruit on mammalian metabolic systems has not received significant attention. … These results demonstrate that the muscadine grape skin powder possesses significant in vitro and in vivo anti-inflammatory properties.”

We already have an impressive list of medical professionals who joined us – a short sample of them is on the company site at https://www.naturespearlproducts.com/the_experts.asp.

Based on all those events, Nature’s Pearl is essentially a new startup company, but they have the financial backing to run for years.  We were near a million per month in revenue for the last year.  The company hasn’t released a total revenue number for 2012, but I’m sure it was between $5 and $10 Million.  Then in March the company announced Hall-of-Fame baseball pitcher Nolan Ryan has been using our product for the last 4 years and he did a 1-minute commercial endorsement (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TeYx2eHKT0), and we also got a lot of attention by bringing in “Dr. Wiggy,” a doctor who was featured on the TV show “The Doctors.”  Those two events, along with the announcement of international expansion, caused our traffic ranking and revenue to spike.  Last month (April), following our first International Convention in March, Nature’s Pearl reached $1 million in monthly revenue.  Now we’re rolling.  However, we won’t have really big volume surges for two reasons:

  1. Our product is $30 for a month’s supply, which in MLM is very inexpensive, but the owner wanted it to be affordable for people worldwide;
  2. We don’t frontload reps or encourage them to buy an inventory of starter kits, so the only big purchase is the initial product package, which ranges from $259 to $750.

So Nature’s Pearl will grow gradually, but consistently, which is the way we want it.  Also, our attrition will be much lower because our product works and has proof that it works.  And because it’s affordable, people won’t be too quick to cancel their autoship
