About a year ago a friend of mine who is a “serial MLMer” (involved with every quick money/get rich quick scheme of the week), without my permission, installed “My Shopping Genie” on my computer assuring me that it is completely harmless and non-invasive after I yelled at him and lectured him for installing a program without my consent. Anyway, long story short, my computer acted very differently afterward so I un-installed it about a week later.

To this day, upon start up, I receive a message that says “My Shopping Genie Program is Not Responding”. Obviously there are some traces of this program in my system and I would like to know how I can go about removing every trace of it. Please help me if you can.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration regarding this matter. I can be reached via email at

All the best,

Tony Manos

P.S. I am a huge fan of Network Marketing and have been doing it for over 15 years. It is the only way to control your financial destiny. Your net worth is directly proportionate to your network!

Hi everyone,

I have been with Genie for a month and 1/2 and now have decided to quit. I have made No Money with Genie but they have made money from me, a friend convinced me that Genie is the way to make money but unfortunately it has not worked out. No one is really interested in Genie and they think it is a money making chain for eg like the chain letter. I tried to introduce it to work colleagues and even tried to convince students to take on the challenge but NOP know one is interested.

So here we go I am resdy to quit.

Kind Regards

You are probably on the wrong team. If you look up Marketing Mentor Kevin Hokoana (, He shows you in great detail on how to push your business. If you don’t push it online, then of course it will not make you money. The team I am in has a 42/7 support line and he also show you everything you need, step by step on how to push your Marketing Business Successfully.

Hi everyone,

I am a Business Management Student at Lancaster University and I am currently taking time out to carry out research on my chosen dissertation topic of the perceptions and performance of Multi-Level Marketing. I have previously taken an indepth look at companies such as Herbalife, and I am now focusing on MyNet Universe, My shopping genie, and MLM in the online environment.

Since last summer I have been heavily involved in trying to build my genie’s commisions and work with part of a team distributing the app. I have also been to several seminars and meetings in NorthWest England, organised by some of the Genie’s founders who have often flown out to talk to people from this area as it apparently has grown significantly in the past 9 months in terms of distributorship.

There have been several things which have come to my attention during my time within the organisation which I find really interesting and relevant to my dissertation, which I wondered if people had an opinion or comment on. My first observation being that there seems to be such a wide variety of results when it comes to the degree of success with which individual distributors manage to build their commisions/teams, and overall ‘genie business’. I don’t understand how some licensees seem to build so much quicker than others, when everyone is following the same buisness/product model. Is it because they are simply more proactive and entreprenuerial? or are they aware of business/online marketing techniques that other distributors are not.

I also wondered why there is such a divide in opinion over the legitamacy of the genie’s ‘product’. Even just by simply looking at some of the earlier comments posted on this thread, I can see that there is an ongoing debate at whether the free Genie is as credible as a brand, and method of fundraising or bringing in income, as other affialiate programmes that are available. I personally have experienced several potential clients who have questioned the validity of the app, and I wonder if anyone else has experienced the same, and if they have an idea why this happens.

I have noticed that there are several people who are both aggressively for and against MLM and MyNet Universe on this site and others. I am trying to undertake my reasearch and investigate MLM from as Neutral a position as possible, using a mixture of empirical data and Qualitative research. I would massively appreciate anyone’s thoughts and opinions on the subject, akin to some of the enlightening comments that have already been posted…

The part of your question, Charlie, that has interested me for over a decade is more broadly stated, “Why do some people in network marketing [in general] make so vastly much more money than others?”

Finally, after much observation and study, the answer came to me in the way of a formula that may interest you. I put it in a free video on this site named “The Network Marketing Success Formula.”

Hi Charlie.
Perhaps this link will be of some assistance.

Hope it helps a bit.

Bruce Bise is still there, I think his mother was ill. Have met him since the above post was left.

I have done alot of research on Myshoppinggenie and MyNet Universe. What I have found is that there is no PPC opportunity due to the fact that all the partners they say they work with to attain PPC do not work with MLM companies. I even went as far as to directly contact the names of the supposed partners and they said they have never heard of Myshoppinggenie or MyNet Universe. This is a deffinet ponzi scheme. I looked up the definition of Ponzi Scheme and it said the first sign the collapse of Ponzi Scheme is it’s main promoter, which in this case is Bruce Bice, disappears. Bruce Bice was deemed missing 3 weeks ago I called MyNet Universe and they said no one knows where he is. Definite Ponzi Scheme, it is a shame.

Please do not waste people’s time by making false comments. I have received PPC commissions from My Shopping Genie, and Bruce Bise was in London at the end of November, at one of our monthly training events. If it was a ponzi scheme, amazon and ebay et al would not allow their names on the app. Would you not think they would have picked up on it by now?

How do I deactivate my genie. I know longer wish to be associated with the product

CharonTFM October 8, 2010 at 8:30 pm Thumb up 2 Thumb down 1

Hi Teresa,

The simplest way to uninstall the product is to go through your control panel. Depending on your version of Windows, all you need to do is go to your Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall My Shopping Genie,

Just Google “How to uninstall programs for (your version of windows” and you’ll get a step by step guide.

Could you contact me as I would like to know if you’ve had a bad experience or whether you just lost interest?

Phil Chappell September 1, 2010 at 4:01 am Thumb up 2 Thumb down 2

Wow, what a simple business that everyone can do. I have given away nearly 200 genies, earning me a residual income of over $500 per month and growing. Whats more the bonuses we are being paid on a weekly basis by helping others do the same is growing rapidly. We are getting up to a full time income from a part time business. I can see the income soon overtaking my income from my property portfolio of 27 houses here in South Wales. Our business is already grown internationally. Don’t hesitate with this business. regards, Phil. 0044 7977002690 or skype philchappell1

I am approaching non-profits with the idea of using network marketing as a perpetual fundraising tool. My company manufactures and sells pharmaceutical grade supplements. So, not only would the donor be helping the non-profit, they’d be getting products in return.

This has been done successfully by other associates in my company but I was asked a question by an Executive Director of one non-profit that I have not been able to find an acceptable answer to; “Is it legal to accept money from this type of fundraising?”

My answer was, “If you can accept money from the sale of hot dogs, or wrapping paper, there’s no reason why you wouldn’t be able to accept money from this type of sale; and instead of being a one-time purchase, your clients would now be purchasing these products monthly giving your organization an ongoing, residual income.”

I would appreciate comments on this subject and resource information where I might find further explanation for this specific issue.

Sincere Regards,

This business is truely amazing !! I got involved beginning of May 2010 and not only have I saved money and time by using the Genie, but I have built a business that is generating me a substantial income in a very short space of time. I have build a team of people (whom I give full help and support to FREE of charge) who are also starting to see the rewards of being involved with such a great company. This business really does appeal to the masses and will work for those people that choose to work it !!

Rob May 11, 2010 at 10:13 pm Thumb up 5 Thumb down 18

The Genie is great, it’s saved me a bunch of money on just my basic office purchases in the last couple of weeks, roughly 75 bucks in less than a month on stuff I had to buy anyway. It’s better for me to shop on line, and know what i’m spending. Standing in a brick and mortar store, I’m always a sucker for the Point Of Payment display. when online it’s easier to say no (but that’s just me)

As for the payment plan, they just changed it again in May of 2010. And Genie Version 4.0 is out for Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Hi everyone,

I’d actually like to update this post if possible…

The comp plan and entire business concept has changed from where it was in 2008.

There is actually a one time license fee of $199, and a recurring fee of $30/month.

On top of that the 3 ways you get paid are: (MyNetUniverse actually splits all the profits from these revenue streams 50/50 with its distributors:

1) PPC (Pay Per Click) Income: When somebody uses the toolbar you gave away for free to do comparison shopping, you get paid the income google/amazon etc… would have recieved for that click.
eg; When somebody clicks through amazon, google products,, to compare the price of a tv they want to buy, you get paid everytime they click through a link or check out a different product. Its how google pulled in Billions of $$’s of Revenue during the most recent recession!

2) PPP (Pay per Purchase): Because MyShoppingGenie is linked into the affiliate programs of, Walmart, Amazon and Ebay you get paid up to 10% commissions on the products anyone buys through the ShoppingGenie Plugin. Theres actually sites dedicated to generating traffic trying to get people to buy products through Amazon so they can recieve this affiliate income!
You can have this traffic generating tool on users homepage for free! And they see it and use it everytime they search through google!

If you have any questions feel free to email, or check out my website
